12:39 am - Hey <3
So...

These are going to be friends only from now on. I'm not going to bother with the really old ones, but the more recent entries and the ones to come are friends only :)

Mmmmkay bye!

P.S. Comment if you want to be my friend! I'll probably add you anyways. And don't worry, no one's getting deleted (not like any of you were worried anyways...)

07:52 pm - I guess an update would be good...

So I haven't touched this lj in a long time. Now sounds like a good time!

LA was incredible! It was a lot of fun. Honestly, since i didn't have such high expectations, it easily exceeded them. It went really slowly but looking back at it, it went super fast. It was an awesome trip though.

Anyways, so I'm going to FSU for vocal performance. I'm officially in to the University and the School of Music. Horray!!!! I'm going to college. aahhh what a wonderful thought.

Let's see, school is sucking. Especially since i'm rediculously behind in everyone of my classes. And of course, senioritis is oozing from every crevice of my body, so that doesn't help my case. May 28th can't be any farther away. Lord help me.

LA Trip :) )

December 27th, 2004

09:03 pm - Survey :)
What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Let's see, I applied to college. Watched a lot of close friends graduate and leave. Nothing really monumental.

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't know if i even made one last year. Maybe i should make one this year. Loose weight and keep it off. I can loose it, just can't keep it away :P

Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not anyone really close. I think my cousin's wife did.

Did anyone close to you die?
Yes.

What countries did you visit?
Definately visited the Bahamas. That was it though for the out of country experiences.

What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
I think real happiness. I was really happy in the beginning of 2004. Then after spring break i had one extreme disappointment after another with a few moments where the clouds parted. I just haven't had at least a large span of time where i have been honestly 100% happy since the beginning of 2004 and 2003.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Hmmm. I guess the NFAA thing is cool. I really don't know. I don't think i had one that stuck out.

What was your biggest failure?
Biggest failure? I dont' know. I have had a lot of failures, no one specifically really seems to be more monumental than the others.

What was the best thing you bought?
clothes?

Whose behavior merited celebration?
I guess this year i'm finally figuring out who my real/true friends are. I guess those who have come through for me merit celebration. horray for you!

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Probably those who i though were close to me, but really weren't.

Where did most of your money go?
City place lunch! good lord that place is expensive. and all of these christmas gifts. they're really good this year, so everybody better appreciate them.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The thought of going away to college (if i get in anywhere!)

What song will always remind you of 2004?
i dont' really know.

Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? sadder
Thinner or fatter? probably fatter. i was sick last year at this time and i lost a ridiculous amount of weight at that time.

Richer or poorer? richer in the account, but if you look at the wallet, probably poorer.

What do you wish you'd done more of?
Been more dedicated to school. Been happy with things at the moment.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
looked to the future so much. although, thats what i'm doing now, since earlier this year things were great and now i need to speed time up a lot.

How will you be spending christmas?
I was with my mom and dad! :)

Did you fall in love in 2004?
nope.

How many one-night stands?
none.

what were your favorite TV programs?
Will and Grace, I love the 90's (although all the other "i love the ??'s" programs were great too), 7th heaven

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate is such a strong word...

What was the best book you read?
Okay tie between 4. I loved them all and couldn't decide. The Lovely Bones, The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
iunno

What did you want and get?
I guess the whole boyfriend thing was a good experience as a whole. Since my middle school boyfriends don't count in my mind. I had an awesome junior year, so that was something i wanted and got. I got good friends and really just enjoyed everything.

What did you want and not get?
An awesome senior year. At the moment i'm lacking in that department.

What were your favorite films of this year?
Okay, so I saw Phantom of the Opera again, and i didn't criticize this time, and i did enjoy it because i love andrew lloyd webber and i love the musical. But that's just cuz i saw it recently. Ummm I really liked Ocean's 12. What else. Oh! I liked Matchstick Men. And of course, Napolean Dynamite.

What did you do on your birthday?
Everyone was in 1st hour for 5 hours and since pam, eleonor, lindsey and i don't have a 1st hour, we went out to breakfast at cracker barrel. Then went to school, came home, went out to dinner, ate cake and went to bed.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
i dunno. i re-discovered skirts this year. that's always a good thing.

What kept you sane?
friends, but sometimes that didn't work out. music, but lately that's been driving me insane. i dont' know. when one isn't working, i just go to the other.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Let's see. I told my mom the other day taht i was going to marry Johnny Depp. I'll say Johnny Depp since we will be married when i turn 18 ;)

What political issue stirred you the most?
nothing. i'm not really involved.

Who did you miss?
my friends who went to college, came home and have made little, if no effort whatsoever. i've really been let down by this one.

Who was the best new person you met?
Everyone at camp was pretty awesome i guess.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
stay positive.

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
I really couldn't. Cuz of course, whatever I have playing right now is going to be the only song that i can think of. So, since i have Phantom of the Opera playing, Music of the night wins, even though it has absolutley nothing to do with this year.

"let your mind start a journey through a strange new world
leave all thoughts of the world you knew before
let your soul take you where you want to be
only then can you belong to me"

08:35 pm
"Bethlehem Town" by Jars of Clay:

"Oh Mary, Joseph, rest your eyes
and try not to think of the ending
World full of empty,
He will die,
but tonight He is still just a child

The silent night drifts all away
And the angels are dancing around you
There's the joy of knowing He'll save the world
overshadowing pain that He'll go through

And have you cursed at the wind?
Have you cried to the heavens?
Have you fought with this mercy you don't understand
When the wise men kneel down
To kiss the hand of this King they found in Bethlehem town?

Will you hold back the years for a while?
Will you dream that this Man could always be a child
And never carry all the weight of the dirt and the distance and the company we keep?

And have you cursed at the wind?
Have you cried to the heavens?
Have you fought with this mercy you don't understand
When the wise men kneel down
To kiss the hand of this King they found in Bethlehem town?

And did the stars shine much brighter that night
When you gave birth to the death that would bring us to life?
And did the mystery keep you awake?
Was the sound of His little heart too much to take?
No, I don't understand when the wise men kneel down
To kiss the hand of this King they found.

And have you cursed at the wind?
Have you cried to the heavens?
Have you fought with this mercy you don't understand
When the wise men kneel down
To kiss the hand of this King they found in Bethlehem town?"

I felt the urge to post these lyrics. Besides this is my journal and i never really use it for it's real purpose, i might as well once and awhile. I felt this urge to show the entire world the lyrics to this song.

Jars of Clay does an incredible job of portraying the fact that Jesus may have been born for us this evening, but we need to remember that there is a terrible yet wonderful ending in the future. Just reading these lyrics and listening to this song always gets me in that "soft spot" where i can't help but think that this man was born with the sole purpose of teaching us about our Father and then just to simply sacrifice his life for us.

"And did the stars shine much brighter that night when you gave birth to the death that would bring us to life."

I wish everyone a happy and wonderful Christmas. God Bless.

Heeey...

So i got a solo. Part of me wonders if i got it because of my whole situation with her and my parents and stuff or if i really earned it. Not a great feeling.
Especially since we lost and she won. And i don't get to sing cuz i have to go to her rehearsal.

But here is something that makes me have a great feeling all while knowing i earned it:
Getting an A in physics!!!! HORRAAAY!

Anyways:

7:30
Chorus Concert
Meyer Hall
Saturday... TOMORROW!

Everybody should go!

Today was a pretty good day actually.

I expect to see everyone tomorrow night <3

College
+ I'm finished with my FSU application(s) and i'm partway done with UCF and UF

- i wrote a 500 word essay for FSU and UCF's maximum word count is 250
+/- find out SAT scores online on Friday :-/

School
+ i missed friday and monday
- no more half days or other days off
+ no longer missing end of winter break (not that it really matters for us since we'll be gone for all state anyhoo)
- i dont' really like my classes all that much
+ didn't miss any work on monday or friday except for a movie in P.E.
- we stopped playing volleyball in P.E. :(
+ we started playing badmitten (sp?)
+ i'm going grocery shopping and getting married in ms. kessler's economics class
+ we got fitted for our caps and gowns in english
+ graduation is May 21st
- i think i failed an AP Physics test we took last week. and this new unit is hard too.
- i screwed up in taht test we took in chorus on the moon. oh well.

Church
+ i am the soloist and sing weekly at the informal service and i really like it
- i missed last weekend (but they were doing bad songs anyways)
+ i'll be there this weekend

Other
+++++ only 7 months till schools out
+ my 17th birthday was last wednesday
- boring weekend ahead
- can't go to autumn's thingy
+ went to Rochester NY this weekend and froze my butt off but saw my sister and nieces.
+ hopefully will start staying up in singer island next weekend
--- have to keep my room super clean so the house can be shown (which is a big challenge)

Well that was a wrap up of everything lately i think... okee bye!

So good to be home :)

Ran away to naples, but came back today. Not too much damage. Don't really have a pool screen anymore, but no trees fell over on our house. The yards a mess too. Otherwise, all is well at home.

School's closed till Friday.

GOD NO!

I'm SO BORED!!!!!!!

I've had WAAAAY too much bonding time with my family. I can't handle this :(

I'm looking at it this way: The sooner we go back to school, the sooner we graduate.

And just think, Ivan's on the way! great.

If we don't go back to school next week, we have to make up these lost days somewhere... so basically, we might as well not be having a spring break.
